What is a shadow? Let's wonder together!
Light shines from the Sun or a lamp. It travels in straight lines until it meets something.
Your body can block some of the light. The place behind you gets less light.
That dark shape is your shadow. It moves when you move because it follows the blocked light.
So that's why a shadow is a dark shape made when something blocks light.
