Spinning makes fluid in tiny loops inside your ears keep swishing after you stop, so your brain thinks you are still turning.
The vestibular system includes three fluid-filled semicircular canals in each inner ear. During angular acceleration, endolymph movement bends sensory hair cells; after stopping, fluid inertia continues to deflect them briefly, creating a mismatch with visual and body-position signals that can feel like dizziness.

You spin in a circle, then stop with your feet still. Why does the room seem to wiggle?
Deep inside each ear are tiny loops with fluid in them. As you spin, the fluid moves along with your head.
When you stop, the fluid keeps swishing for a little while. It tells your brain that you are still turning.
Your eyes see a still room, but your ears send a turning message. Those mixed messages make you feel dizzy.
So dizziness after spinning happens because ear fluid needs a moment to slow down. Soon it settles, and the room feels steady again.
